A Target Detection and Tracking Method for Multiple Radar Systems

چکیده
Multiple radar systems represent an attractive option for target tracking because they can significantly enlarge the area coverage and improve both probability of trajectory detection localization accuracy. The presence multiple extended targets or weak is a challenge systems. Moreover, their performance may be severely deteriorated by regions characterized high clutter density. In this paper, algorithm targets, weak, based on measurements provided radars in environment with heavily cluttered regions, proposed. proposed method features three stages. first stage, past are exploited to build spatio-temporal map each radar; weight then assigned measurement assess its significance. second track-before-detect algorithm, weighted three-dimensional Hough transform, applied obtain tracklets. third low-complexity tracklet association method, exploiting lion reproduction model, associate tracklets same target. Three experiments presented illustrate effectiveness approach. experiment synthetic data, one actual data from network two homogeneous air surveillance radars, four different marine radars. results reveal that outperform competing approaches.

Multiple Target Tracking With a 2-D Radar Using the JPDAF Algorithm and Combined Motion Model
Multiple target tracking (MTT) is taken into account as one of the most important topics in tracking targets with radars. In this paper, the MTT problem is used for estimating the position of multiple targets when a 2-D radar is employed to gather measurements. To do so, the Joint Probabilistic Data Association Filter (JPDAF) approach is applied to tracking the position of multiple targets. To ...
متن کاملSensor Management Provisioning for Multiple Target Radar Tracking Systems
System provisioning is the problem of determining the number of resources required to accomplish a complicated system level task, e.g. tracking or discriminating between N targets. This is a central problem in multi-target tracking with synthetic aperture radars where the number of targets can easily exceed the available resources. This paper treats the following conservative sensor provisionin...
متن کاملA Soft-Input Soft-Output Target Detection Algorithm for Passive Radar
Abstract: This paper proposes a novel scheme for multi-static passive radar processing, based on soft-input soft-output processing and Bayesian sparse estimation. In this scheme, each receiver estimates the probability of target presence based on its received signal and the prior information received from a central processor. The resulting posterior target probabilities are transmitted to the c...
متن کاملSensor Compromise Detection in Multiple-Target Tracking Systems
Tracking multiple targets using a single estimator is a problem that is commonly approached within a trusted framework. There are many weaknesses that an adversary can exploit if it gains control over the sensors. Because the number of targets that the estimator has to track is not known with anticipation, an adversary could cause a loss of information or a degradation in the tracking precision...
متن کاملImplementation of MIMO Radar for Multiple Target Detection
This paper focuses on the early detection problem of multiple moving targets in statistical MIMO radar systems using TBD techniques. At first, assuming prior knowledge of the number of targets, a binary generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) is derived, which shows that the optimal implementation of the GLRT requires multidimensional joint search. To reduce the implementation complexity, a su...
